Adept Play
These are game experiences played at Spelens Hus in Norrköping, beginning in 2019. This is Ron Edwards’ primary roleplaying community, characterized by informal participation and multiple games, organized by whoever would like to do so. Please see the Local Play & Events (link on opening page) for more information.
After having played Primetime Adventures (the 2nd edition, the one with the blue cover) a while ago … looking up when that was … wait now, that’s two and a half years ago? Anyway, here is the link to the old stuff if you want it … okay, let’s restart this:Ever since I’ve been a […]
Since I’m not recording play with people under majority age, you get to see me talk about doing it instead. It’s the same group who’s been playing Tunnels & Trolls, preceded by The Pool for some of them: five young teens and the father of two of them, plus me. We are playing Villains & […]
This is the second adventure in the “big group” Tunnels & Trolls game, which acquired another player along the way for a total of five in addition to me. For the two additions, this was their first role-playing experience, so certain points and topics about new players apply. Although I don’t have much to add […]
2022 really brought a Tunnels & Trolls workout here at Adept Play, me included. The post Or we’ll sic the fairy on you is primarily about another T&T game, played with a larger group, which continued into a notable second adventure which I’ll post about as well. In the video there, I mentioned some events […]

The first two videos for session 1 show the preparation, excepting the nuts and bolts of making the characters. Given a very brief “stereotypical Balkan mountains, decayed nobility […]
Here begins my effort to recover the past six months of role-playing into some Actual Play posting. It might go on for a while. This particular event was played last October (2022), consisting of two two-player games played side by side, Showdown by Seth Ben Ezra and Cold Soldier by Bret Gillan. Most of what […]
or so people keep telling me. Last time it happened was after playing Campus Security. If nothing else the game helped me to further understand what I need to feel comfortable at the table. Here is what happened: Daniel, one of the people who found the Spelens Hus AP community after the summer, brought a […]
It’s been a very full six months for reconnecting to the physical and social activities here in Norrköping. Getting to GothCon turned out to be too demanding, but otherwise, I participated in various ways at Närcon (spring), Lincon, a service/play event for Ukrainian kids, Närcon (summer), Augustifesten, and just now, Kulturnatten. Only some of it […]
